Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 March 2026

Your privacy matters. debt.tools is designed from the ground up to collect as little data as possible, which, in practice, means none at all.

What data do we collect?

None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All numbers you enter into our calculators are processed entirely in your browser (client-side). Your financial data never leaves your device.

Cookies

debt.tools does not set any cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes. We may use essential cookies strictly necessary for the website to function (for example, remembering your theme preference), but these do not contain personal data and are never shared with third parties.

Analytics

We do not use analytics tools that collect personally identifiable information (PII). If we use any analytics in the future, we will choose privacy-respecting, cookieless solutions and update this policy accordingly.

Third-party services

Our site may contain links to external organisations such as StepChange, National Debtline, Citizens Advice, and MoneyHelper. These links are provided as a public service. Once you leave debt.tools, you are subject to the privacy policies of those external sites.

Data storage

Since we do not collect data, there is nothing to store. Any values you enter are held temporarily in your browser memory while you use a calculator and are discarded when you close the page.

Children

debt.tools is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
